In 2022, we transitioned to Coronado Outrigger as our racing name while Outrigger Hoe Wana'ao remains our legal entity name. Our home practice site has been located in Coronado, CA since 2015 and we are embracing and representing the community we love and are a part of.

The mission of Coronado Outrigger aka Outrigger Hoe Wana’ao is to perpetuate and promote the traditions of Hawaiian outrigger canoe paddling through educational, recreational and competitive programs for youth and adults.
Outrigger paddling is a wonderful, unique experience. It provides the opportunity to make friends, learn to work as a team, and live a healthy lifestyle by strengthening mind and body.
Paddling is a passion and a lifestyle. We do it because we love it!

Coronado Outrigger began as a group of paddlers who banded together to feed their passion for paddling and share it with a new generation of paddlers.
